WHAT WE DO
COMPLETE MUSIC CREATIVE, CLEARANCE, and BUSINESS SERVICES  Finding that perfect piece of music for your production, whether licensed or originally composed, is what we do. Negotiating, licensing, and documenting all the necessary rights for music to be used in your production is what we do. Creating an environment of trusted creative energy and exacting business consultation is what we do. Music is our muse!
FILM, TELEVISION, and DOCUMENTARIES
Whether it’s an iconic top forty hit or an obscure upcoming indie artist, we work with majors, indies, specialized libraries, and original music composers and songwriters to find the perfect music for any production. Our complete creative and business services, include navigating music needs from concept to completion, walking the production through the ins and outs of music selection, rights management, licensing, composer and/or songwriter hiring, soundtrack album negotiations and creative production coordination, and, of course, music deliverables for all platforms and formats. We attend music spotting sessions, manage budgets and personnel, and ensure proper execution of appropriate contracts and licensing.
With experience on over 500 hours of music competition and award show productions, we leverage our long-term relationships with publishers, record companies, songwriters, and artist managers to negotiate the most favorable terms possible for our clients. Using more than 300 songs in a season is not unusual for a music competition series. Copyrights must be fully cleared and ready for production at a moment’s notice. Along with our clearance services, we provide a tested process that allows productions to be kept up-to-date on the daily status of copyright clearances and licensing fee budgets. The nuanced process of intellectual property (“IP”) clearances for award shows demands a multi-faceted approach. We navigate the details of clearances for the use of music videos, photos, and other IP that producers may want for creative enhancement of their production. The important details of union new-use fees, artist approvals, choreographer approvals, brand/logo issues, label waivers, and requests for whitelisting are part of our full clearance service.
MUSIC COMPETITION AND AWARDS SHOWS
We provide music creative and music business affairs services for all media, including: *Consultation and negotiation of all necessary IP rights for a corporate entity or individual projects, including but not limited to: • song and master recording synchronization licenses; • mechanical licenses; • soundtrack album agreements; • composer agreements; and, • custom song and underscore production agreements; * Branding and sponsorship for musical artists and soundtrack albums; * Creation and licensing of customized play-lists for brick and mortar and on-line retail businesses; * Negotiation, acquisition, and management of performance blanket licenses for broadcast and streaming entities; * Individual and corporate copyright registration services; * Research and confirmation of label copy; * Music production agreements for the services of vocalists, musicians, arrangers, and production personnel (producer and engineer, etc.) on master recordings whether orchestra, band, or singular artist as they head into the studio; * Creation and management of music budgets for all media; * Creation and production of full musical underscore and source music packages for all media; and, * Music publishing administration and royalty collection/distribution
